Bibliography

Small sized Corinthian type skyphos, decorated in the black-figure technique. It was found in 1957 at the Sanctuary of the Nymphe in fragments, was mended and restored.

It is decorated with a ram grazing, flanked by two panthers. Dots and rosettes complete the decoration that is defined by double, horizontal stripes and bands with vertical short lines. The vase’s foot and part of the depicted animals are accentuated by purple colour, while the handles and the interior of the skyphos are covered with black glaze.
